Welcome to the second issue of the Berkeley Public Library's newsletter. Response was great for our April Branch Out Celebration - Thank you for joining us! Over 111,000 people visited the library to check out material and attend 180 different programs. Many were first-timers to the library and we especially want to welcome you. We offered five after-hours events that brought in families and friends to dance, listen to music and enjoy art.
In keeping with our vision as a 21st century library, some of the most popular events were 3-D printing and iPad training. We grew 739 new "likes" on Facebook. Origami, quilting workshops, storytimes, poetry readings, movies and children's authors were also popular.
We hope you enjoyed these and all the other great activities we offered as much as we enjoyed planning them for you. April maybe over but we still have lots of great events happening at the Central Library and your four beautiful branches.
