NPL Finals

The 2014-15 National Premier Leagues (NPL) season came down to an exciting finish at the NPL Finals, July 9-13 at Grand Park in Westfield, IN. A dozen teams won national championships, as 10 different clubs from eight states around the country earned their place in the history books. The 2015 NPL Finals featured 154 teams from U-13 through U-18 boys and girls age groups representing all 19 NPLs. Champions excelled in the challenging environment that included group stages, semifinals and finals.

U17B PAC San Jose Indios - NPL Champions

For the second straight year, the U17 Boys NPL National Champion has come from the NorCal NPL as PAC San Jose Indios emerged as the top team at this year's event. PAC San Jose Indios put together five straight wins, beating Chicago Inferno (3-0), Brooklyn Italians (2-1), and Annandale United (8-1) in Group play, LA Premier FC (3-1) in the semifinals, and NEFC Elite (1-0) in the Final.

U14B Santa Clara Sporting - NPL Champions

Santa Clara Sporting rode an outstanding defense which only allowed one goal in five games to become the youngest ever NorCal NPL team to win the NPL National Title. In group play, Sporting beat Vardar (2-0) and Soccer Plus Academy (4-1) before a 0-0 draw against Seattle United put them in the semifinals. Sporting beat Virginia Rush 1-0 in the semifinals, then beat Real Colorado 1-0 in the Final.

Other NorCal Teams Attending NPL Finals
U17G: Marin FC Blue

Marin FC finished their NPL Finals with a 2-1-0 record. Marin dropped their first match to PDA, 3-2, but bounced back with a 1-0 win over MFC Rush and 3-1 win over Indiana Fire - narrowly missing out on a semifinal berth.

U16G: Placer United Gold

Placer United won their first two matches, beating TUSC 4-2 and FC Stars of Mass, 4-1. That set up a winner-take-all final group match which Placer United lost 3-1 to FC Copa.


U14G: CV Magic Red

CV Magic Red dropped their opener to eventual finalist Scottsdale Blackhawks 2-0. CV Magic drew 1-1 in their final game against NEFC Elite.



U15G: Placer United Gold

The Placer United U15G got off to a slow start at the Finals losing their opener 3-0 to Scottsdale Blackhawks. Placer improved as the event progressed and picked up a 3-3 draw with FC Alliance and 2-0 win over FC Copa. 

U16B: Sacramento United

Sacramento United finished with an 0-2-1 record at the NPL Finals with loses against Campton United and Seacoast United. Sac United drew with Gulf Coast Texans.
