This e-news should provide a lot of the information as we move to the 2nd round games. We still have a few flights that need to complete games but as divisions/flights are finished for each age group, we will work on getting the next round of schedules posted as quickly as possible.

This process of uploading the schedules for 2nd round began over the weekend. Currently the schedules that are posted are locked. The schedule will be available to start scheduling the necessary games for 2nd round at 9:00 am Friday, Oct 10th.

This e-news is fairly lengthy, but we hope that it will provide the critical information for your team to have success in the next round.

Process for Creating Flights & Schedules for 2nd Round

To create flights within the divisions for the 2nd round, we use the guidelines explained in "How Divisions are Created for 2nd Round." Teams are first ranked by how they finished in their flight for the 1st round (i.e. a team finishing with 30 points and 1st place in their flight will be ahead of another team with 29 points that also finished 1st in their flight). A team that is ranked 1st in their flight will never be ranked lower than a 2nd place team in the 2nd round ranking, even though a 2nd place team may have more points. This holds true for a 2nd place team as it relates to 3rd place teams and so on.

Teams will be placed in their flights according to how they are ranked in their division. Here is an example:

Flight A consist of A1, A2, A3, A4

Flight B consist of B1,B2, B3, B4... and so on based on the number of teams in that division.

U11-U13 White, Blue and Green flights:

We may need to adjust flights, as listed above in the Flight Creation Section, to ensure:

teams do not play each other again in the 2nd round
travel is minimal for the 1st game of 2nd round

If we do adjust flights, it will be with a team that is equal in flight (i.e. B2 team may switch with a C2 team to minimize travel and/or to avoid teams playing each other again in the 2nd round).

In very rare circumstances, a team may play another team that they have played in the 1st round. This will only be done to minimize travel.

If a team does have excessive travel for one game, there is travel insurance for this 2nd round game.

U9-U10 all divisions - 2nd round

These flights will stay exactly true to the format above since all 2nd round games are at the centralized locations. Division locations are posted on the website. Act NorCal State Cup(s) U9-U13 ual schedules will be posted no later than Oct 20th.

NorCal encourages teams to reserve a hotel for your location in case your team is scheduled for an early morning game. Please check with the cancellation policy to ensure that your team will be able to make changes to your hotel room once the schedules come out. NorCal will not be responsible for any hotel rooms that are not adjustable.

Once schedules are published they will not be revised unless NorCal finds an error. Schedules will not be adjusted for game times or coaching conflicts.

Schedules for 1st Game of 2nd Round

U11-U13 White, Blue and Green Divisions

The game that teams need to schedule is the game that does not have a date and a field location. NorCal has scheduled all games that appear on the schedule for the central sites.

This 1st game of the 2nd round is scheduled between the teams. Either team may post a field and time on the game log. The opposing team must respond within 48 hours to agree or suggest another time. If the other team does not respond within 48 hours, the team who first posted a time/field becomes the home team. Conflicts will be resolved with a coin toss - please contact NorCal at U9_U13cupcoordinator@norcalpremier.com if a conflict arises.

U11-U13 girls will need to complete this 1st game by Nov. 9th.

U11-U13 boys must complete this 1st game by Nov. 16th.

Schedules for 2nd and 3rd game

U11-U13 White, Blue and Green

If opponents in the 2nd and/or 3rd round games are in the same region (or closer than central sites), they may play this game locally under the following criteria:

both teams agree on a site and location
teams need to email NorCal Cup Director prior to Nov 8th
all 3 games must be completed by Nov 23rd
teams need to cover all the costs

Schedules for U11-U13 Red Divisions

All 1st round game must be completed by Oct 19th.

The schedules for the 2nd round will be posted no later than Oct 22nd. As divisions finish their flight, we will get the schedules up as soon as possible.

Teams have until Sunday December 14th to complete this 1st

game of the 2nd round

Schedule Information

Oct 5th- All games must be played for the 1st round.

U11-U13- Red teams have until Oct 19th to finish 1st round games.

Oct 14th- U11-U13 White, Blue and Green schedules will be posted with teams listed.

Oct 20th- U9-U10 all divisions will be posted with teams listed.

Oct 26th- U11-U13 White, Blue and Green set aside date for game 1 of 2nd round. (Game may be schedule for another day, but both teams need to agree)

Oct 29th- U11-U13 Red division schedules will be posted.

Nov 1st and 2nd- 2nd round games at central sites begin for the U9-U10 Girls.
