After a short break, we have the next Business to Business Networking Event quickly approaching. It will take place on August 25, 2015 at Cobblestone Builders newly completed model home in the Town of Jackson from 4:30 - 6:00 pm

 

 

Stop by and view the quality craftsmanship of a Cobblestone Builders home and enjoy some refreshments! All attendees will have the chance to win a door prize provided by Cobblestone Builders.

Presidential_Message A Message from the WCBA
President, Matt McCabe 

Greetings WCBA members! 

Summer weather finally arrived just in time for the 2015 WCBA Tour of Homes, which wrapped up on July 19th.  Early reports from the participating home builders tell the story of another successful campaign. Throughout the ten-day tour the event dates were well attended by active and enthusiastic prospective buyers. As we continue through yet another "rebound" year in construction, the TOH added to the heightened energy and excitement in the home-building and remodeling market. Thank you for all who participated and to those of you who supported the event. Special thanks go out to this year's Gold Sponsor, JJ Merkel Homes and to Silver Sponsor, Carpet City Flooring.

I would also like to extend a word of thanks to Todd Schumell of Bliffert Lumber for his help in organizing this year's Tour of Homes. Todd was recently voted to the WCBA Board of Directors. The energy and dedication that he brings as a volunteer in advancing the causes of WCBA members will be a hugely beneficial and appreciated. Please help me in welcoming Todd as the newest addition to the board.

By now you have all received your invitation to The Speakeasy on September 12th. This exciting "night on the town" fund-raising event will help raise money for the local Habitat for Humanity and for our own WCBA Trade Scholarship Fund. If you have not already done so, please reply to the letter and advance tickets you received in the mail. Your participation in this social event as a great way to give back to the community that supports you - in a fun-filled way!

Because of the Speakeasy event in September, we will wait until October to resume the WCBA dinner meeting schedule. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements giving the restaurant location for the next dinner meeting to be held on Thursday, October 8th.  In the meantime, be sure to attend the upcoming WCBA Business-to-Business Networking Event at 4:30 on Tuesday, August 25th at the Cobblestone Builders model home at 2925 Crosswind Trail in Jackson.
