Greetings WCBA members! The busy season has arrived. The ground is thawing, road restrictictions will soon be lifted and the construction markets are still going strong. Now is the time when things really heat up for builders and remodelers - literally!
During these busy times; however, it is important to remain tuned in to your local trade association. The WCBA is a vital organization that provides its members with the opportunity to network, learn and improve their businesses. The mission statement of the Washington County Builders Association speaks to these core values:
Leading the building industry, creating neighborhoods, providing economic growth and advancing the education and professionalism of our members to benefit our community.
Throughout the year, committee members are busy planning and implementing events designed to network, inform and educate. In April, two such events are scheduled.
On Tuesday, April 14th a business-to-business networking opportunity is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:00 at A-1 Pools. Come out and mix and mingle while learning about the products and services of A-1 Pools. If you would like to be a host company for a networking opportunity like this one, contact Office Manager, Becky Miller, at 262-334-5552.
Later on in April, the first of two education events in 2015 will be held at Weather-Tek Design Center in Brookfield. WCBA members can pick up points toward their Wisconsin Uniform Dwelling Contractor Qualifier certification, as well as AIA points for the architectural community. The seminar will be presented by Paul Braun of Velux Skylights. Watch for the first invitation to this event to be emailed out to members in the first week of April.
Also, stay tuned for your invitation to the next dinner meeting which will be held on the second Thursday in May. May will also usher in the first notices for this summer's Tour of Homes, scheduled for Saturday, July 11th through Sunday, July 19th.
Your WCBA continues to bring vital, relevant industry resources to its membership and the community at large. Thank you for your continued involvement and support.
Sincerely,
Matt McCabe, WCBA President
