We will have great appetizers during the social cocktail hour starting at 5:30 PM.  The meal choice is Smothered Sirloin or Tuscany Chicken with dinner at 7:00 PM and we will finish with a delicious dessert. All of this for $35.00 per person if you register by January 16th.  Space is limited to the first 50 attendees, so don't hesitate to sign up today and ensure you get your registration in!

There is still time yet to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount for the 2015 WCBA Home Building and Remodeling Expo. The Expo will be held February 6 - 8, 2015 at the Washington County Fair Park Pavilion. The Early Bird Discount expires at the end of the year, so your application, with payment, must be post marked no later than December 31, 2014. Applications are available to print from the WCBA website, www.wcba-wi.org, or you can complete your registration online. Don't miss out on the opportunity to start your year strong by meeting local customers. Last year's attendance exceeded 1,600 people over the 3 day event.

This year we will feature the ABC Supply Indy Car with the opportunity for the kids to have their picture taken with the car. There will also be tool box and bird house building for the kids, making it a perfect family event. For mom and dad, they can attend and meet Gus Gnorski, formerly from WTMJ radio and Fox 6's "Ask Gus" show. Gus is well known and his past presentations were attended by more than 45 people each day. Attendees are welcome to bring in their everyday around the house fix it questions to ask him and will have an opportunity to meet him after the presentation.

On Friday night, as always, we will have our exhibitor dinner followed by the general membership meeting. This year's dinner is being provided by MJ's Catering from Hartford.

There are still some sponsorship's available at different levels. There is a silver sponsorship at $250 and a bronze sponsorship at $100. Don't miss out on the chance to gain additional exposure by being a 2015 sponsor. The presenting sponsor will be Uptown Motors in Slinger.

Our advertising for the event includes: 49 TV ads on Fox 6, local newspaper ads, an ad in the handout at the MBA Home Building & Remodeling Show held in downtown Milwaukee, radio ads on local stations (WBKV/WBWI and WTKM), a digital billboard at Uptown Motorcars on Highway 60 in Slinger, and posters displayed around Washington and surrounding counties.

The holidays are always a special time to enjoy with family and friends and I hope you will be able do so.  As you are searching for those last minute items for Christmas be sure to remember your fellow association members and the products or services that they provide.  Supporting other association members is not only valuable at this time of year but throughout the year.

The Annual Holiday Party plans are complete and we expect a great turnout again this year.  This traditional event will be held at the Fox & Hounds on January 24, 2015.  Check your emails or go to the WCBA web site at www.wcba-wi.org  for all the details and be sure to sign up early since registration is going to be limited to the first 50 people. 

Year end is always a time of reflection and projection.  As I reflect on 2014, it has shown to be a better year for many and hopefully the projections we are hearing for home values and related construction industries for 2015 come true.  Here's wishing you a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
