2015 Building and Remodeling Expo
The 2015 WCBA Home Building & Remodeling Expo is starting to come together. Don't miss out on signing up before December 31, 2014 to take advantage of the discounted "Early Bird" rate for your booth. This year, spots are filling up fast since the Expo will be February 6-8, 2015 which is not the same weekend as the Milwaukee show. The Expo is a great opportunity to meet local customers at a lower rate than other similar events.
New this year, we will have the ABC Supply Indy race car with the chance for kids to sit in the car and have their picture taken. As always, we will have children's face painting and birdhouse/toolbox building.
Our guest speaker is the informative Gus Gnorski, formerly from Fox 6 and WTMJ radio show "Ask Gus", who will appear at 2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Gus' seminars were attended by more than 45 people per day last year. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask him their fix it questions.
On Friday evening, there will be an exhibitor dinner catered by MJ's Catering from Hartford followed by a membership meeting.
Our advertising this year will feature 47 ads on TV's Fox 6 along with local papers, an ad in the MBA Home Building & Remodeling Show handout and ads on local radio stations: WBKV/WBWI and WTKM.
The presenting sponsor for the 2015 Expo will be Uptown Motorcars in Slinger. We are still in need of more sponsors for various aspects of the Expo. If you are interested or have any other questions, please contact me, Jeff Feyrer, at 262-305-1673 or e-mail me JTF71961@yahoo.com. The exhibitor application can be printed from our website www.wcba-wi.org or one can be provided to you by calling 262-334-5552.
Take this great opportunity to start off a strong year for your business!

Nominating Committee
Volunteers Needed
Several vacancies will be coming to our WCBA Board of Directors next year as some existing directors at large terms expire. In order for the WCBA to remain a strong and fresh organization it is important to have strong and fresh leadership. If you can run your business, you have the skills to be a director at large for your WCBA - so don't worry about that.
A director at large has a 3 year term. In this position, you will attend a board meeting every month for about 2 hours. In addition, you will choose to help, where you can, with various events and programs which are important or interesting to you.
Serving as a director at large is rewarding. You have the opportunity to make new friends, work with great people who face similar professional challenges as you, learn many new things and meet many other people during membership meetings and events.
The true rewards of belonging to a trade association are found when you get involved. If you are willing to consider becoming a volunteer director with your WCBA, please contact our Nominating Committee Chair Person, Jason Miller at jmiller@a1poolfun.com or the WCBA President, Dirk Wildt at dirk@cobblestone-bldrs.com.
We look forward to hearing from you!

A Message from the WCBA President, Dirk Wildt
The recent networking event held at West Bend Glass Block was well received by all of those who attended this meet and greet. Besides networking, we got an opportunity to learn about the business of glass block installation and manufacture from our hosts, Andy and Darlene Klefstad. Door prizes, food and beverages were provided by our gracious hosts to help make this a fun event. If you would like to host one of these events at your place of business call me at 262-502-9344 or Becky (office manager) at 262-334-5552.
Also during the evening, one name was drawn from a list all of the members who had attended the general membership meetings throughout the year for a free 2015 WCBA Building and Remodeling EXPO booth, a $395 value. I am happy to announce that the lucky winner of the 2015 EXPO booth is First National Bank of Hartford. Our congratulations goes out to Wendy Christenson, Vice President/Branch Manager. Like Wendy, all you have to do to get your name in the drawing is to attend a general meeting, your name will be entered into the drawing for each meeting that you attend.
Our next general meeting on December 11th is being held at Padway's (formerly Wagner's) on big Cedar Lake. Topic of discussion will be the 2015 EXPO, so if you have any questions about this event, this meeting will surely be one that you will want to attend.
See you at the meeting!
