Membership Committee Chair
At our monthly meeting of the WCBA, the board members agreed that it would be beneficial to reach out to our association and feature a member in our monthly newsletter. So, I will be contacting one member per month and interviewing them to be featured in the newsletter.
I hope that the 2014 Tour of Homes generated a significant amount of interest for the participating members.
A friendly reminder to those with membership renewals coming due soon, please submit your response quickly to avoid missing out on our upcoming events.

The 2014 WCBA Tour of Homes wrapped up on Sunday, July 27th thus concluding a very successful event! As the Committee Chairman, I wish to express my appreciation to all the builders who participated in this year's Tour.
Based on all the positive feedback from the 2014 Tour of Homes participants, this year's event was truly a success. Approximately 400 visitors passed through the nine model homes, which represents an increase of almost 40% over last year! Improved signage and increased advertising contributed to the success. One builder even reported that their model was SOLD because of the tour!
Still, there always remains room for improvement, primarily in the areas of communication. Watch for a revised Registration Packet in 2015 with updated model guidelines and a streamlined registration process. Please email committee chairman, Matt McCabe at [email protected] with any suggestions for improvement to the 2015 Tour of Homes.
Again, thank you for participating in the 2014 WCBA Tour of Homes - whether as an exhibitor or an attendee. We look forward to seeing you next year!

2nd Annual Slinger Speedway Outing
What could be more fun than being with your fellow WCBA members? Being with them at the VIP Suite at the Slinger Speedway September 1st for the 2nd Annual WCBA Slinger Speedway Outing!
Come join us for racing excitement, food, beverages and fireworks all for just $40 per person. If that isn't tempting enough, you can also take a tour of the pits and see the behind the scenes action or sign up for a seat in the pace car as the racers get ready to go for the checkered flag.
Due to space restrictions this offer is limited and only 40 tickets will be available, ticket holders must be at least 16 years of age. This is a first come first served event so don't delay and call, sign up through constant contact, or email me today to reserve your spot.

 2015 WCBA Expo
Save the date!!!
The calendar may only say only July, but as time flies, the 2015 WCBA Home Building and Remodeling Expo will be here before we know it. Last year we had competition with the Milwaukee N.A.R.I. Home Improvement Show in West Allis due to a last minute date conflict. This year, measures have been taken to make sure there is no conflict with the dates. The Expo will be held February 6, 7 & 8, 2015, again in the Fair Park Pavillion. Look for the early bird registration to begin around October.
Preparations will begin soon, so if anyone would like to join in this year's planning, please feel free to call me at (262) 305-1673.

I trust everyone is enjoying summer and that you are all busy now that construction is in full swing. The recent 44th Annual Tour of Homes has just ended and the feedback we have received is that this Tour was very successful with many people looking and inquiring about new homes and lots. Rumor has it that we had at least one of the featured homes sold during the Tour which is great news for all and is indicating that people are motivated and interested.
Don't forget about the Slinger Speedway event on August 31st
