Spring has sprung and the building industry is obviously at a high note. Membership is hitting a high note as well. I have spoken with 5 new potential members to the WCBA, 3 of which are coming to the next dinner meeting at The Copper Dock on June 12th. I will announce their businesses as they join next month. 

 

I hope you all had a happy Memorial Day and found an opportunity to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

The Tour of Homes will run on Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 16th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th and Sunday, July 20th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Presidential_Message A Message from the WCBA

I am excited to announce that the planning stages of the new WCBA benefit event are starting to come together.  The event is going to be called "Behind Closed Doors" WCBA's Speakeasy, Benefiting Habitat for Humanity www.hfhwashco.org and Moraine Park Technical College www.morainepark.edu Scholarship Fund.  The committee comprised of WCBA members, Board members from Habitat For Humanity, the Dean of Moraine Park Technical College and local business owners have been working hard to initiate the ideas and the details for the event. 

 

What has been determined so far?   The date has been set for September 6th and it is going to be a prohibition themed fun filled night where with your entry ticket (price TBD) you will receive access to all of the bar stations serving cocktails along with great food being served at food stations around the room.  A live 12 piece jazz band will provide the music and WBWI radio personality Bill Mitchell will be doing the announcements.  All this with your entry and the best part is that it is going to be held at the elegant West Bend Mutual Life Insurance Prairie Center. 

 

A variety of local establishments are going to compete for cash prizes for the best cocktail and the best bartender with you as the attendee doing the voting by placing tokens at their favorite bar station.  The one with most tokens wins! 

 

A variety of sponsorship information and levels will be available soon.  The committee is just starting to recruit volunteers to help out on event night so please consider and give me a call, help is needed and you will have a great time.

 

Remember, September 6th for an evening supporting two great causes located in Washington County.
