Dates have been set for several upcoming events. Please mark your calendars and watch your email for registration information. Also, if you are interested in volunteering to help or in being an event sponsor, please contact the chairperson for that event.
January 25th, 2014
The Annual Holiday Party date has set and now will be held at Wegner's Cedar Lake Inn on Big Cedar Lake. Click for more details or to register.

Holiday Party Committee Chair
Yes folks, it is time once again for the annual WCBA Holiday Party. This year's event will be at Wegner's Cedar Lake Inn 4919 State Rd 144, Hartford. The date is January 25
th, Party starts at 5:30 pm for cocktails (2 are included) with a delicious buffet dinner at 7pm. Cost is $30 per person up until January 20
th after that $40 per person till January 24th.
Clients, customers, family, guests, employees and of course you are invited to this fun evening. Sponsorships are available to showcase your business! Main event sponsor $500 - One available and includes signage and recognition at the event, Table sponsor for 6 - $240 - multiple available and includes signage at the event, Beverage sponsors $250 - 3 available and includes signage at the event, Appetizer sponsors $150 - 3 available and includes signage at the event, Coffee Bar sponsors $100 - 2 available and includes signage at the event, Dessert Bar sponsors $100 - 2 available and includes signage at the event and lastly Table Decoration sponsors 2 available, 1 is sold.

The 2014 Building & Remodeling Expo is set for February 14-16, 2014 and fast approaching. There is still time to sign up for your spot with open spaces available yet at the Washington County Fair Park Pavilion. You can meet with local perspective customers at a much lower cost than other shows. We have free parking with reasonable entry costs for attendee's. There will also be many complimentary tickets available for you to hand out!
This year we are featuring expanded advertising on Fox 6 along with our usual local radio and newspapers advertisement, and an ad in the MBA Home Building & Remodeling Expo(Downtown Milwaukee) handout. We will have guest speaker Gus Gnorski formerly from Channel 6's "Ask Gus" both Saturday and Sunday at 2:00. Last year Gus was one of the most successfully attended seminars in years. Again we will have children's birdhouse and toolbox building for the kids and children's face painting, always a huge success for the kids.
Sponsoring opportunities are filling up fast, but there are still some available. Our feature sponsor this year is Uptown Motors in Slinger.

Membership Committee Update
With the New Year we are seeing consistent interest from new members not only from last year but those who are looking forward to the New Year and the upcoming Home Expo in February. We are presently holding at 81 members and are goal for this year is to reach 100 members with your help. Check the WCBA website to see all the benefits your membership offers you also expo and educational opportunities.

Reflecting on the Associations progress over the past year I am happy to announce that the WCBA has had a good year. Our events such as the Tour of Homes and The Home Building and Remodeling EXPO are increasing in vendor participation and with the bigger advertising budgets appropriated we are hoping to generate more interest with the general public and create larger attendance at all our events.
On another note, some of you may have heard that indicators are showing that there is going to be a significant increase in interest in home building and remodeling in 2014 and that it promises to be a better year than many have experienced in a long time. Let's hope that the experts are right and may the New Year be the best it can be for all of you!
