Dates have been set for several upcoming events. Please mark your calendars and watch your email for registration information. Also, if you are interested in volunteering to help or in being an event sponsor, please contact the chairperson for that event.

January 25th, 2014
The Annual Holiday Party date has set and now will be held at Wegners on Big Cedar Lake. Pencil in the date and watch for details.
February 14th - 16th of 2014 is the 2014 Builder's Expo. Pencil in the date and watch for more details.

2014 Expo Fast Approaching
Don't forget to hurry and sign up for your spot in the 2014 WCBA Home Building & Remodeling Expo, February 14-16, 2014 at the Washington County Fair Park Pavilion. Again this year you can take advantage of the "Early Bird" sign up by signing up by December 31, 2013.
The Expo committee is in the process of working out the details. We are featuring the guest speaker, Gus Gnorski formerly from the channel 6 show "Ask Gus", both Saturday and Sunday afternoon! Last year Gus was one of the most successfully attended seminars in years. We will also feature expanded advertising with commercials on channel 6, in addition to our usual advertising in the local newspapers and various local radio stations. Again this year we will have children's bird house building and tool box building, always a huge success!
If you are interested in sponsoring any part of the Expo, we have many sponsorship opportunities available. By sponsoring any part of the Expo, you can have your business mentioned on TV, radio and newspapers.

Membership Committee Update
Congratulations to our 2013-2014 Moraine Park Technical College WCBA Trades Scholarship recipients!!! Here come the holidays and right around the corner and a time to reflect on the year. I want to thank all the members of the WCBA who take an active part in this organization both past present and future. This organization is making great strides both in growth and education thanks to the leadership and to the members who are helping make that difference. The Home Expo is right around the corner and expecting great attendance. Your participation is critical to not only the Expo but the growth of your WCBA. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

The next general membership meeting is December 12th at Timmer's on Big Cedar and if this was not enough to get your interest each attendee to the meeting will be entered into a drawing for a free booth at the 2014 Expo. So come on and join us for the social hour including a dinner meeting which will be followed by Dave Spooner from Cherry Creek Mortgage who will be educating us on the finer points of reverse mortgages. Certainly a great networking opportunity for all.
Also I have been informed by the Holiday Party Committee that this year's event will be held at Wegner's on Big Cedar on Saturday, January 25th starting at 5:30 pm. Cost is the same as last year's event at $30 per person for the "early bird" registration up to December 31st and after that it's $40 per person till January 11th. It's going to be a great time, so please save the date and check your emails for further details coming to you soon.
