Congratulations to our 2013-2014 Moraine Park Technical College WCBA Trades Scholarship recipients!!!

Lucas Breuer, Thomas Elsinger and Justin Greif are our group of incredibly deserving students with a passion for bettering themselves and their communities through education.   We would like to congratulate our scholarship recipients and look forward to following their education and career paths.

Lucas Breuer's personal statement:

"My career goals are to obtain and complete a plumbing apprenticeship program and eventually become a Master Plumber.  I look forward to continuing my education with possible business courses so that I may someday own my own plumbing business."

Justin Greif's personal statement:

"I value hard work and technical skills.  I believe in the value of hard work and want to help re-establish the image of a hard working technical worker, preferably in a Union environment.  I also want to be active in any application trade organizations, even possibly being a representative for the Union someday."

Thomas Elsinger's personal statement:

"I am currently enrolled in the HVAC/R program at Moraine Park.  I am involved in Phi Theta Kappa and have a 3.87 GPA.  I am taking this program to advance my career.  I am currently employed by Badger Meter as a maintenance technician."

We look forward to keeping everyone updated at the school year continues!!!

Presidential_Message A Message from the WCBA
President, Dirk Wildt

By a unanimous vote, the membership in attendance at the last general meeting approved the proposed By-Laws for the Association. The result of this vote is that now we have in place updated and current parameters on which the Association can be regulated and governed.

Your Board of Directors and I wish to thank all of you who gave us your opinion regarding the changes and also to thank all that voted in order to make this change.  Please don't forget to attend the next general meeting December 12th.  The meetings are set up as format to provide you as a member networking opportunities and learn about a variety of subjects related to our industry.   And lastly a reminder to keep in mind a couple of future events.  First is the Annual Holiday Party being held January 19th and then of course there is the 2014 Building and Remodeling Expo February 14th thru the 16th at the Washington County Fairgrounds Pavilion.  Both great events and always well attended.

That's all for now, see you at the next general meeting
