"Riverside Reconnects" Brings Streetcar Tour to Downtown Riverside
As a part of the Riverside Reconnects Program, and the Riverside Streetcar Transit Corridor feasibility study, a streetcar will be brought to downtown Riverside, on November 7.
The City of Riverside has partnered with Siemens to bring a streetcar to the downtown area for the community to tour and view. Riverside Reconnects is a plan to connect the city's expansive college and university student population with the downtown core. (Read More...)

State of California Offers New Economic Development Incentives
With the passage of AB93 & SB90, the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) will begin implementing the "California Economic Development Initiative" to reshape and strengthen the state's economic development tax programs and bolster California's business environment to put Californians back to work. The new program includes a manufacturing sales and use tax exemption, hiring credits and investment incentives. (Read more...)

Riverside Prepares for Transition to SmartCodes
At a recent Greater Riverside chambers of Commerce Economic Development Council (EDC) meeting, Riverside's Community Development Director, Al Zelinka, discussed the SmartCode Specific Plan to introduce a new way of helping developers and contractors through the entitlement process. Following the recommendation from the EDC, the Chamber's Board of Directors unanimously voted to support the SmartCode Specific Plan. (Read more...)
