Riverside Receives State of California iHub Designation
 Riverside County recently received designation as the Inland SoCal Link iHub, from the State of California's Office of Economic Development, GoBiz. This designation capitalizes on the location of Riverside and County cities with direct transportation links to the Port of Los Angeles, and the region's continued growth in innovative technologies, businesses, and higher education institutions. The overarching goal of this iHub is to maximize economic development opportunities within the transportation corridor which links the Port with the Inland Southern California region. (Read more...)

Office of Economic Development Receives IEDC Award
 Riverside's City Manager's Office of Economic Development received a Bronze Excellence in Economic Development Award for its 2012 project in the category of Newsletter or Newspaper for communities with populations of 200,000 - 500,000 from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). "The Excellence in Economic Development Awards recognize City of Riverside - City Manager's Office of Economic Development as being one of the leading organizations in the industry for innovation, creativity and successful strategies," said IEDC chair, Paul Krutko. Riverside Businesses Receive Entrepreneur Awards
Local Riverside businesses have been selected as finalists for the 11th Annual Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards.
Joan Nguyen of MeriEducation and Drew Jorgenson of OmniPlatform have been nominated.
The Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at San Bernardino announced 27 outstanding entrepreneurs for the 2013 Spirit Awards which recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the Inland Empire's top entrepreneurial business leaders. (Read more...)
