Fireball Run Adventure Race Ends in Downtown!

As an astronaut, Jon McBride explored the far reaches of the earth. 

But he said piloting the Space Shuttle Challenger was about as difficult as finishing the Fireball Run, a 2,500-mile adventure race that landed in Riverside Saturday, Sept. 28. The event aims to help recover missing children. (Read more...)

 

Riverside Transportation Projects Link to SoCal; Boost Riverside's Economy

The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) is working on innovative projects, expected to generate approximately $3 billion in statewide economic output and create an estimated 28,000 new jobs for the Riverside area. Anne Mayer, Executive Director of the RCTC, has stated that the objective of these critical projects is to "create a transportation system that serves our community, that serves our businesses, and that helps us sustain and grow our economy". 

The projects include the SR-91 Corridor Improvement Project and the 91 High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) project. (Read more...)

The Office of Economic Development (OED) in the City of Riverside launched its Business First initiative as a reflection of the dedication given to small businesses, large companies and entrepreneurs. Information and assistance is provided with zoning, permitting, and City policies and processes through a single-point-of-contact, backed by a team of knowledgeable professionals.
