New Riverside Microbrewery Lets Customers Craft Their Own Beer

A new Riverside microbrewery has given a different spin to the initials, "BYO." 

At Wicks Brewing Company, it means "Brew Your Own," making it one of a few brewpubs in the state to offer a supervised on-site experience.

After years of talking about it, Brad Wicks, 62, and his family, opened their microbrewery on April 22 in a building they own at 11620 Sterling Avenue. Sons Ryan, 30, and Cole, 28, also work at the brewpub, which is located on a quiet, dead-end street with freeway visibility. (Read more...)

Have You 'Greened' Your Business? Nominate Your Company in the 4th Annual Small Business Awards! 

The 4th Annual CoolCalifornia Small Business Awards Program recognizes California small businesses that reduced their greenhouse gas emissions, promoted climate and environmentally friendly practices, and integrated the tools on CoolCalifornia.org into their business operations during 2012-2013. The application deadline is November 1, 2013 and winners will be announced in January 2014. 

Awards will be given in two categories: CoolCalifornia Small Business of the Year and CoolCalifornia Climate Leader of the Year. (Read more...)

Hong Kong Association of Southern California to Host Networking Mixer in Riverside

On September 19, 2013, the Hong Kong Association of Southern California will be hosting a free networking mixer on the Grier Pavilion of Riverside's City Hall from 6 to 8 p.m.

The directors of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, San Francisco and Hong Kong Trade Development Council will be giving presentations on the latest updates of trade opportunities between the U.S. and China, as well as the services that they can provide in assisting your business to expand into Hong Kong and China. (Read more...)
