Sixty-Minute Mentoring is Looking for You!
We all know that mentoring is critical to our profession.  The best advice we often receive is from attorneys who take a few minutes to share their time and experience with us and answer our questions.

We hope that you are willing to spend 60 minutes - at a time, date, and location that you select - to spend time with 1 or 2 new attorneys or law students.  You will be able to share information that only a practicing attorney can offer.

For more information, please contact Kathy Lawrence if you are interested in being a mentor or if you are an attorney or law student and interested in being mentored. If you can spare 60 minutes, you can be a mentor!

MSU's undergraduate mock trial team is hosting its second-annual "Tournament of Roses" on the weekend of October 11-12 at the MSU College of Law in East Lansing.  Competitors will visit from numerous universities throughout the midwest.

The tournament consists of 4 "rounds" of trials.  The first round is on Saturday, October 11 at 10 a.m.; the second at 2:30 p.m.  The third will be on Sunday, October 12 at 9:00 a.m. and the fourth at 2:00 p.m.  Each round lasts about 3 hours.  You may choose to judge one, two, three, or all four rounds.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Here is a link to sign up for whichever rounds you would like to judge:  http://doodle.com/r8df4npukvzdbmtq.  We ask that you please arrive 30 minutes prior to each round for the judges' meetings, which will provide an overview of everything.

We hope to see you there!  The students truly appreciate feedback from practioners.  And feel free to invite your colleagues!  We are always open to more judges.
