March, 2014
Time to get a newsletter out to all of you in email land. Since the last newsletter, we spent the winter finishing up a large kitchen remodel and a couple of bathroom projects. Nice to be inside with the weather beating down. As we head into March, its not to early to be thinking about your summer remodeling project, large or small, especially if there is design and significant planning involved. We can help with this On April 19, we will be one of the sponsors for the 2nd Annual Business Expo at Regis High School in Stayton. If you are in town that day, stop in and visit us at our booth. We always have fun (and some good eats) at this show.
Don't forget to "Spring Forward" with the clocks this Sunday. Sincerely, Kurt Hueller & the Staff

This winter, we worked on two major projects in Stayton, Oregon. One was an addition with a full gut remodel of a large kitchen. We just finished up this great project.
The other involved several overlapping projects to include a really neat master bathroom as well as flooring throughout the rest of the home. |

Bookkeeping
As much as I enjoy (ha ha) entering and paying bills, it is usually better business to delegate this and other important office tasks. So late last summer, we hired Diannah Dolby.
Diannah brings more than 20 years of office administration and bookkeeping experience to our company. She does basic bookkeeping, payroll and data entry. Diannah is also a small business owner of a promotional products firm.

Every year, Remodeling Magazine comes out with its Cost vs. Value Report.
This site compares average cost for 35 popular remodeling projects with the value those projects retain at resale in 101 U.S. cities. Check out this year's trends and how they compare to prior years. The closest city to ours is Portland, OR.
Cost vs. Value 2014 (Portland, OR)
This information has proven to be a good starting point for clients and contractors alike to have a meaningful conversation on budgeting and "real" project costs. This is always one of the tough (but necessary) issues to discuss for any project.
