The Injured Workers' Insurance Fund, IWIF, will become Chesapeake Employers' Insurance Company (Chesapeake), effective October 1, 2013. Chesapeake will be a private, nonprofit, non-stock corporation that will continue to provide workers' compensation insurance only to Maryland businesses. For our policyholders and agents, this transition will be seamless. This is a critical step in the evolution of the company. It strengthens our ability to achieve our mission and maintain our position as the primary writer of workers' compensation insurance in Maryland. Additional information links on the conversion: |

Employers with more than 10 employees at any time during the calendar year and whose establishments are not classified as a "partially exempt industry" must post the OSHA Form 300A summary of the total number of job-related injuries and illnesses that occurred last year.
