| Protect Yourself from Damaged Transponder Fees |

Coming Very Soon: Transponder Protection Service
|
 You've heard us warn about Damaged Transponder Fees before, but here's a refresher. BESTPASS rents our transponders from E-ZPass, who attempts to reuse transponders for at least ten years. When we return transponders to E-ZPass on behalf of our customers, the transponders are reviewed by E-ZPass for damages. If a device cannot be easily refurbished and reused, they will mark it as damaged and assess fees. A transponder returned to E-ZPass should be able to be reprogrammed and/or have its batteries replaced and then shipped off to the next customer. If your transponder has physical or cosmetic damage beyond normal wear and tear, you should expect to be charged a damaged transponder fee.

You asked us for a way to avoid these fees and we've listened! Coming very soon, we will be offering a low-cost Transponder Protection Service. We've had slim-fitting custom cases made, which will provide snap-on protection for your transponders, along with the ability for you to customize the labels to suit your tracking needs. Transponders registered with this service will also receive transponder remediation and cleaning when they are returned to BESTPASS, prior to being sent back to E-ZPass. Of course, we can't guarantee the total elimination of all damage fees, as it will still be the decision of E-ZPass whether to assess fees, but we believe this service will be very effective!
When can you get your hands on the new transponder cases? Very soon! We are rolling out the service now to a handful of customers who've agreed to provide us with feedback on the program, and are planning on making the service available to all of our customers early this Summer. New toll rates effective 7/1
The Indiana Toll Road Concession Company has announced that new toll rates will come into effect on July 1st, 2013 for the Indiana Toll Road. The rates for Class 5 (typical 5-axle semi) will increase from 23.8 cents per mile to 24.6 cents per mile. Toll charges vary according to vehicle class and distance traveled. A complete rate schedule and more information about this increase can be found here.

CO E-470 Rollout Delayed
Due to system upgrades by the Colorodo E-470, the rollout to BESTPASS customers has been delayed. We now anticipate that all accounts will be set up for the E-470 by August 1st. Once your account has been set up, you will begin to see your CO E-470 tolls on your BESTPASS statement. We will notify customers by email as their accounts are set up, so be on the lookout for a notice in your email inbox!

Deb joined BESTPASS as our Sales Admin in March and has hit the ground running! Deb not only has a background in sales, but also has experience in the automotive/repair and fleet management industries. She's worked with tractor trailer repair shops handling billing and provided fleet management services for large trucking fleets.
After transitioning to the world of sales at SuperMedia, Deb was drawn to Bestpass and the ability to work in the trucking industry again. Deb loves to help people and is enjoying helping our customers grow their businesses through our money and time saving solutions.
When Deb's not at work, she's outdoors! She's a big fan of the beach, sun, and sand and is an avid gardener with "the greenest front lawn in the neighborhood!" Deb is a fur-mama to two dogs who rule her house and her heart, and a loving Aunt to her three year old niece. "I love to introduce her to new things," Deb says, "despite her mother's better judgement!"

| Sonic Rises to the Occasion in Serving Truckers |
 We recently shared a story on our Facebook page about the Sonic in Valiant, OK, where they built a special truck ordering stall to accommodate truckers and bus drivers in their drive through. Along with the three-feet-higher-than-normal ordering stall, they've also built a circular drive path that allows for easier navigation on and off the highway.
