Reminder: Colorado E-470 ExpressToll
Expanded Toll Service Area

BESTPASS has entered into an agreement with the E-470 Public Highway Authority in Colorado to provide discounted toll services on their facilities.  ExpressToll is the electronic toll collection system available on E-470, the Northwest Parkway (NWP), and the I-25 tolled Express Lanes.  We are in final testing now and expect general availability to all of our clients starting May 1st, 2013.

  

NOTE: You will be automatically enrolled in the

ExpressToll service unless you call and opt-out.

  

What do I have to do? 

Nothing!  As a BESTPASS customer, you will be automatically enrolled in the ExpressToll service. We will register and maintain all your vehicles with ExpressToll and bill any usage through your BESTPASS account. As long as your vehicle information is kept current, there is nothing more you will need to do.  If your vehicle information is not current, then we ask that you please provide updated information to BESTPASS prior to May 1, 2013. From this date forward, your vehicles will be registered and maintained by BESTPASS with the E-470 tolling authority and usage will be billed on the prepaid portion of your BESTPASS account. Best of all there will be a BESTPASS discount of 20% on all usage incurred on these facilities.

  

What if I have an ExpressToll account already? 

If you already have an ExpressToll account in Colorado please contact BESTPASS customer support to coordinate closure or retention of your exiting account.

  

What if I receive an ExpressToll Bill? 

If, for whatever reason, your vehicle information is not current and you receive a bill directly from ExpressToll after BESTPASS begins providing service, just send your ExpressToll toll bill to BESTPASS.  We will apply the toll to your BESTPASS account and make sure your vehicle license plate is correctly registered to avoid any further ExpressToll bills.   BESTPASS is authorized to dismiss the bill, and apply and pay the toll usage through your BESTPASS account with no penalty.

  

Please note: ExpressToll facilities are all electronic. There are no manned toll booths.

We had the opportunity to meet Brian Green of Richard I. Green, Inc. at MATS (Mid-America Trucking Show) in Louisville, Kentucky. It is always great when our customers stop by our booth to chat as the majority of our interaction is via the phone or internet; these shows really give us a chance to connect in person.

Keeping your License Plates Up to Date

Why is it important to keep your license plates up to date with BESTPASS?  Well, it's not only the easiest way to avoid violations, but it's also becoming more important as states roll out license plate reader e-tolling technology, which assesses tolls to vehicles based on their registered license plates.  As we expand our service coverage area to include these states (such as with the E-470 in Colorado), it's very important to make sure that you have all of your current license plates registered with BESTPASS.  Doing so will ensure that your tolls are processed correctly through us, and that you get your BESTPASS benefits - discounts, consolidated billing, and excellent customer service!

 

Remember that you should register all of your plates - including trailer plates, and any plates associated with leased or temporary equipment. Don't worry about having to remember to remove those plates: BESTPASS will automatically remove plates associated with leased or temporary equipment from your account, so long as you provide us with an end date.
