Greetings!
Our tagline is "Change is Now" and that's what April and the coming months are all about. Fun, new and exciting things are coming to Evolution Fitness! Changes range from a fifth station in Group Coaching Classes, outdoor workouts both on and off-site, Kids & Teens Combine Training and facility upgrades.
Our Charity Workout out with Joe Flacco is back, Sunday, May 17th! This year the charity is St. John of God Community Services. EvoFit member Robyn attended their school and excelled right away. After another specialized school had said that they were going to stop teaching Robyn how to read; her mother contacted her home school's district child study team to find Robyn another specialty school. The team recommended St. John of God. Within one week, Robyn was learning again and was so thankful to be at "the best school ever". St. John of God taught Robyn to never give up and to this day, Robyn never gives up!

Here at Evolution Fitness we are changing the way fitness is done. Change is an essential cycle of life and we embrace change by welcoming the new! Speaking of what's new, let's take a look at some of the upcoming changes and additions to Evo's Group Coaching programs. You probably have noticed that a fifth station is back in action! By reintroducing this station to our Group Coaching we can now target all of the major muscle groups and movements of the body on a regular cycle making the programs even more effective. I'm sure you can feel the difference already! Not only have we reintroduced a fifth station into our circuits but our obstacle style Express class has been a huge hit.
Coming this May we will be test piloting our newest secrets of the trade including super-setting and density training into Group Coaching classes. This new system will create the perfect environment for muscle confusion and will "shock the system" so to speak, generating even more amazing results!

Many of you realize that what we do here at Evolution Fitness is very different than that of a big box gym. We follow a system geared to burn off body fat and build athleticism. We are on the inside of the industry getting the latest cutting edge scientific information on a daily basis!
Your Program
How to use your program to maximize results!
All team members that hold a customized membership that includes semi-private training, have FULL access to the facility! This means you can come in any day anytime during business hours and work your program or set up one of the Group Coaching classes. We like to say it's like having unlimited COACHING! Any time you come, there is a coach on staff that can answer your questions and/or assist you in any way. Each program is designed to be completed in 12 sessions or 4-6 weeks. Each program includes a Day A and Day B program. Optimally you should utilize one of you coaching sessions to learn your Day A program, then come in again that week and perform Day A on your own. Then use a second session to learn your Day B program and repeat that one on your own. If you continue alternating your programs 2 days a week you will complete your program in 6 weeks. Your coach will tweak your form and make any adjustments to your resistance as you progress. Additionally if you come a third day in a week and cycle A, B, A, and the following week B,A,B you will complete your program in 4 weeks and move to the next phase! So following the strategy of coming in 2-3 days a week, utilizing your coaching sessions, repeating your program on your own and taking 1-2 classes on non-program days is guaranteed to get you the best results possible and maximize your membership!!!

Charity Workout with Joe Flacco

On Sunday, May 17th, Evolution Fitness will host its 2nd Charity Workout with Baltimore Ravens Quarterback Joe Flacco.
Come workout and learn how Joe trains for his
 up coming season, get a great workout and help the community all at the same time! This year, donations will be going to St. John of God Community Services to help the children and the community. This is St. John of God's 50th anniversary and we are thrilled to help them celebrate! There will be a 2pm workout for 7-14 year olds and a 3pm workout for anyone over 15 years old. Sign up in person at Evolution Fitness or by the phone at 856-751-1300. Limited space is available for each workout time so don't hesitate!

Our NYNY Body Transformation Challenge was AWESOME this year. Each year the participants amaze us at the transformations they make and this year was no exemption! We are so proud of each teams and all that they have accomplishmented! Each year gets better and better.

Ingredients:
|
1 lb lean beef
3 cloves garlic
½ onion
1 tsp olive oil
salt and pepper
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
|
3 medium zucchini, sliced 1/8" thick
15 oz part-skim ricotta
16 oz part-skin mozzarella cheese, shredded (Sargento)
¼ cup Parmigiano Reggiano
1 large egg
|
Directions:
In a medium sauce pan, brown meat & season with salt. When cooked drain in colander to remove any fat. Add olive oil to the pan and saute garlic & onions about 2 min. Return the meat to the pan, add tomatoes, basil, salt & pepper. Simmer on low for at least 30-40minutes, covered. Do not add extra water, the sauce should be thick. Slice zucchini into 1/8" thick slices, add lightly salt* and set aside or 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, blot excess moisture with a paper towel. On a gas grill or grill pan, grill zucchini on each side, until cooked, about 1-2 minutes per side. Place on paper towels to soak any excess moisture. In a medium bowl mix ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese and egg. Stir well. In a 9x12 casserole spread sauce on the bottom and layer the zucchini to cover. Then place some of the ricotta cheese mixture, top with the mozzarella cheese and repeat the process. Top with sauce and mozzarella and cover with foil. Bake 45 minutes covered, then uncovered 15 minutes. Let stand about 5 - 10 minutes before serving. *Zucchini has a lot of water when cooked, salting it takes out a lot of moisture
