Author Camille DiMaio, THE MEMORY OF US, will be at the Leon Valley Public Library on Saturday, September 17 at 11 am.  Ms. DiMaio will be signing her book and speaking on writing and publishing.

National Night Out

We are proud to announce that we have received notice that we will receive $108,471.71 in funds from a federal healthcare support program called the Ambulance Supplemental Payment Program (ASPP). Leon Valley Fire Department is 1 of 2 EMS systems in Bexar County and 1 of 62 in the State of Texas to receive funds this year. The federal ASPP program reimburses emergency healthcare providers for cost associated with providing healthcare to patients that are either under-insured or uninsured. This means that we were able to recover money that we would otherwise never have been able to collect. This year's collection marks a nearly $70,000 increase from last year's recovery of $40,410. The administrative work that goes into this process is challenging and we are grateful for the support from our City Manager, Human Resources Director, and Finance Director....great teamwork, equals great results!
This is a big win for everyone....thank you, and stay safe!
