Leon Valley Community Pool
The Leon Valley Community Pool is open. This year, the pool is open to Leon Valley residents and their guest only, by way of an armband. Residents may pick up their pool armband at Leon Valley City Hall, from Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and on Fridays, from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, at the front desk inside the main entrance at City Hall (6400 El Verde Road). Residents will need to fill out a short application and show either their driver's license or current utility bill, indicating a Leon Valley address. One armband per household member will be given out. Guests must accompany the resident to the pool where they will be given an armband for the day. Lifeguards will retrieve the guest armbands as guests leave the pool. Pool parties are still allowed, by contacting San Antonio Pool Management at 822-8100 and the Marlin's swim team will be signing up members at the pool. We hope you will come and enjoy the 2016 summer swim season!
Bexar County Hazard Mitigation

The City of Leon Valley is partnering with Bexar County to develop a Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP) that will address natural and man-made hazards that affect our area.  The Federal Emergency Management Agency defines mitigation as actions taken to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to people and property from hazards and their effects.

The goal of the HMAP is to minimize or eliminate the long-term risk to human life and property from known hazards through effective mitigation.

Public and stakeholder participation is key to good mitigation planning!

Leon Valley residents and business owners are invited to complete this short survey (click on the image) to help your planners in the hazard identification and risk analysis phase.

Thank You for your input!
