Spring Large Item Collection
Waste Management will pick up all your bulky items such as old furniture, water heaters, appliances, and brush March 14th-25th. Items are to be at the curb no later than March 7th, to assure Waste Management brings the right equipment. Collection vehicles will pass down each street only once and will proceed until the entire City has been collected.
In order to be eligible for collection your bulky items may not exceed 8 cubic yards. 
The 22nd Annual Basura Bash was a Success!
The 22nd Annual Basura Bash Waterways Cleanup held last weekend was a huge success!  A special thanks to San Antonio City Councilman Ron Nirenberg, HEB, UTSA, School of Science and Technology, Holmes High School, Central Catholic, and individual volunteers totaling 96.  More than 115 bags of trash and debris were removed from the portion of Zarzamora Creek that runs through Leon Valley.  Larger debris such as metals, tires, shopping carts and mattresses were also removed.  Everyone followed the Basura Bash motto....Clean It Like You Mean It!
Free Notary Services at the Leon Valley Public Library
The Leon Valley Public Library offers free notary services to our citizens. All you need to do is verify the notary is available prior to heading over, or set an appointment.  Please call (210) 684-0720 and ask for Sandy Underwood, and we will take care of your notary needs, all at no charge!!
