Get Involved in Vision 2040
There will be more than 1.6 million additional residents living in the Greater San Antonio Region by 2040. It it up to our community today to help shape, and plan for, the growth of tomorrow.

Help us evaluate community options.

What is the best way to increase the frequency and reliability of VIA services? What areas should be the priorities for additional fixed-route, high capacity services? Those are the questions we would like you to answer in the next phase of the Vision 2040 process. There are several ways to accomplish our community's goals, and we would like your input on the options.

T'is the Season.... So come out and lend a helping hand to some of your less fortunate neighbors.
City of Leon Valley Receives Groundwater Conservation Grant from the Edwards Aquifer Authority
The EAA supports conservation efforts through a grant program that helps users of Edwards groundwater implement projects and practices that help reduce their water use. The City of Leon Valley was awarded a matching grant to perform a system wide leak detection survey.  An acoustic leak detection survey on thirty-seven linear miles of water distribution piping, approximately 2,250 water service connections, fire hydrants, and distribution valves will be conducted to identify system leaks and any water loss.  A final report outlining the type of leaks and location will be provided to the Public Works Department for repairs.
The EAA Groundwater Conservation Plan states that leak detection and repair is an essential component in a sound water management program as they are effective methods of accounting for all water usage within a service area.

Crews from SAMCO Leak Detection Services, Inc., with assistance from the Public Works Department, will be surveying the water system over the next two weeks
