Election information for the May 9, 2015 General Election is now available on the City's website. The information can be found here. Notice of Application Period 2015 General Election Candidate Packet

City Offices will be Closed
City Offices will be closed January 19, 2015 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Offices will reopen January 20, 2015 at 7:30 a.m.. All public safety and fire personnel will be working and providing emergency services as usual.

Home Rule Charter Commission Is Near the End

The Commission has met ten times since their appointment. They have approved a table of contents for the home rule charter which consists of the following eight articles:

Form of Government and Powers
Boundaries
The City Council and Mayor
Elections
Administrative Organization
Initiative, Referendum and Recall
General Provisions
Transitional Provisions

The Commission has since approved Articles I - VIII. The Articles are being placed in final form and will be sent to you all in the near future.
