Citizen Action Team
The Citizen Action Team (CAT) will officially launch on Monday June 30, 2014. Citizens will be able to call 684-OnIt (6648), email OnIt@leonvalleytexas.gov, or submit a ticket on line under "We're On It!" or click the following icon to the left. This will allow residents to contact the City on non-emergency request, concerns, questions and/or complaints and have someone from the CAT follow-up with them to ensure customer satisfaction.
Notice of Mosquito Control
The City will begin fogging for mosquito control on June 30th at 10:00 pm. It is hoped that, while it won't kill all of the mosquitoes, it will get the problem under control. Special attention will be paid to those neighborhoods that border Huebner and Zarzamora creeks. Please assure that all the potential mosquito breeding items on your property, such as old tires, pots and pans, and any other item that may hold water, are emptied and checked regularly. For more information, please contact the Public Works Department at 681-1232.

LVEDC accepting applications for the Façade and Signage Program

The Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) will accept applications for the Façade and Signage Program from June 1 to July 15.  Sales tax generating businesses and property owners with sales tax generating tenants are eligible for the program.  The program guidelines and application may be found by clicking here.

At the May 28 meeting, the LVEDC Board passed a resolution requiring applicants to use Leon Valley businesses for bids on the services to do the façade improvements or signage; and, whenever feasible, to use the local businesses for the services.  Proof of the local business bids should be submitted with the application for funding.  The LVEDC encourages businesses and residents to "buy local".
