VIA unveils new Primo Service in Leon Valley!

Today, Mayor Riley ushered in a new day in Leon Valley as VIA extends its Primo Bus Service through our City, connecting us to UTSA, the Medical Center and Downtown.
 

To mark the occasion, VIA held a press conference at the stop located on Poss Road. The Mayor was joined by Charlie Gonzalez, Sr. VP of Public Engagement, and Jeffrey Arndt, President and CEO of VIA, to unveil their newly designed shelter that was tailored to fit Leon Valley's brand and diverse community. Mayor Riley commented that the "City truly partnered with VIA in this venture to bring its sleek, new mass transit to our community."

Tree Survey Conducted Next Week in our Area

Beginning on Monday, November 25, 2013, the Texas Forest Service along with  Intern Rhonda Wise from the University of Oklahoma will be conducting a tree inventory of a 10% sampling of trees within the city limits. They will travel throughout the City, beginning in the Park, and will be wearing bright orange vests.  

 

This inventory consists of measuring, identifying and determining the tree's health. They will be working on the sampling for three consecutive days next week and will continue after the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Community Events Committee
A meeting of the Community Events committee will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room.
