The City of Leon Valley is Open for Business!
Pronto Insurance is having a grand opening next Friday, November 22, at 1 p.m. at their location at Bandera and Huebner in the Bandera Heights retail center. Also, TriColor Auto Sales has opened their location at 6300 Bandera Road.

Upcoming Public Meetings


City Council Meeting
This month's City Council Meeting will occur Monday, November 18th, in the Council Chambers at City Hall. A 6:00 p.m. work session will be held to listen to proposed ideas recommended by the Festival Committee to enhance the 4th of July Celebration, as well as a discussion about a potential 2014 Jazz Festival.   The regular business meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. as usual. LVEDC

The Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation will discuss and consider action on the proposed guidelines for the Façade Improvements and Signage Program at the board meeting on Tuesday, November 19, at 6:30 p.m. Click here for agenda.  

 

Tree Advisory Committee
The Tree Advisory Committee will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19th in the City Hall Conference Room. Click here for agenda.

Library Happenings

T'ai Chi Chih:

Saturday mornings at 8 a.m., join us on the grounds of the Leon Valley Public Library for T'ai Chi Chih:  Joy Through Movement.

  

T'ai Chi Chih is an easy to learn set of movements focused on the development of an intrinsic energy called "Chi."  It does not require a particular level of physical fitness or coordination.  People of all ages can learn it.

  

T'ai Chi Chih  meets rain or shine, all year around. Come join the group!

Mark Your Calendars
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the New Children's Wing will be happening on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m., immediately following the 25th Annual Breakfast with Santa.
