Early Voting October 21st-November 1st

Your vote counts!

As of Thursday, the voter turnout Countywide for the Constitutional and Special Election is at 8,859. Of that number, 227 individuals voted at the Leon Valley Conference Center early voting site. There is still plenty of time to cast your vote...

Early Voting is ongoing until Friday, November 1st. Take a friend and go vote at the Leon Valley Conference Center or any of the 32 early voting locations across Bexar County.

What's on the Ballot?  

Besides having the Constitutional Amendments to consider, there will be two ballot measures for registered voters living in the City of Leon Valley to consider. Information on each can be found by clicking on the links below:

What Form of ID is required?    

  • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
  • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
  • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
  • Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
  • United States military identification card containing your photograph
  • United States citizenship certificate containing your photograph
  • United States passport

Coffee with the Mayor and Council
Don't miss your next opportunity to have a cup of coffee with your City Council, on Saturday, November 2nd, from 9-11, to be held at the Kinman House.

Bond Oversight Committee

The next meeting of the Leon Valley Bond Oversight Committee will be held Wednesday, October 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Conference Room.

Public Health and Safety Events

This Saturday clean out your medicine cabinets...
 
 

On October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Leon Valley Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its seventh opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft, along with providing a safe disposal method, by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to the Leon Valley Police Department at 6400 El Verde. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

Health Fair Sponsored by the Northwest Senior Citizens of Leon Valley

Leon Valley Community Center

6427 Evers Road

9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  

The Northwest Senior Citizens Club of Leon Valley will sponsor a free Health Fair. Screenings and flu shots will be available.  There will also be breakfast tacos available with free coffee or tea and door prizes.  Please join us for this free event to learn more about maintaining a health, happy active senior lifestyle.
