September 2013

The City Council is conducting a Public Hearing as part of its Regular City Council Meeting to be held Tuesday, September 17, 2013, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

  • Public Hearing and Consideration of an action to amend the frequency of the City Council Regular Meetings, from two meetings a month to one.

This action is part of the City's continuing effort to implement the Strategic Goals that were developed by City Council during a retreat held on May 31, 2013. One outcome of the retreat was the City Council Goal to establish a more efficient City Council Meeting schedule that better corresponds with available staff resources.

City staff are dedicated to supporting the City Council in order to improve the overall quality of life for the citizens of Leon Valley.
By modifying the current schedule by  reducing the number of regular meetings to one per month, City staff can focus on core services and managing day to day operations.

This public hearing is scheduled to give the citizens of Leon Valley an opportunity to voice your opinion and listen to the Council deliberation.
