The City Council rescheduled the July 16 Regular Meeting to next Tuesday, July 9, beginning at 7 p.m.

 

The Regular City Council Meeting will be followed immediately by the first meeting of the Proposed Leon Valley Crime Control and Prevention District Temporary Board of Directors.

City of Leon Valley's 19th Annual Star-Spangled 4th of July Parade & Celebration a Huge Success!

 

The City's 19th Annual Star-Spangled 4th of July Parade & Celebration were a huge success.  Our  special invited guests included State Senator Leticia Van De Putte, State Representative Justin Rodriguez, Bexar County Commissioner Paul Elizondo, and Mr. Cleto Rodriguez, of News 4 WOAI's "Where's Cleto" program.

 

Special thanks to the City's Community Events Committee, City staff, and everyone who worked to make this the best parade and event ever.  Most of all, we thank you for attending and celebrating!

Regular City Council Meetings are scheduled on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.   

Special City Council Meetings can be scheduled for different days and beginning times. 

Official public notices and meeting agendas are posted on the City's Bulletin Boards outside the City Hall front doors at 6400 El Verde Road, at least 72 hours before the start of the meeting in accordance with the Texas  Open Meetings Act,  and are also posted on the City's website.

Visit the Farmer's Market located on the parking lot near the Leon Valley Public Library on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.   Shop Leon Valley first!

Leon Valley Pool Registration for 2013
  
The City of Leon Valley is accepting swimming pool memberships now.  The City accepts cash, checks, or Visa or MasterCard payments.  Memberships can also be paid for at the Leon Valley Pool if you are paying by cash or check. 
  
Family Memberships are $250 for up to 8 household members.  Each additional family member may join at the same time for $15 per person.  Children under 2 do no require a membership. 
  
Individual Memberships are $125.  Individuals plus 1 person may join for $180.
  
Seniors get a 10% discount off the cost of membership.
  
Group rates are available.    
  
Leon Valley Public Library
Even though the construction work continues on the Leon Valley Public Library Children's Wing Expansion, they continue to offer a great source of family entertainment!

T'ai Chi Chih: 
Saturday mornings at 8 a.m., join us at the Leon Valley Public Library for T'ai Chi Chih:  Joy Through Movement.
  
T'ai Chi Chih is an easy to learn set of movements focused on the development of an intrinsic energy called "Chi."  It does not require a particular level of physical fitness or coordination.  People of all ages can learn it.
  
T'ai Chi Chih  meets rain or shine, all year around. Come join the group!  For information, call the Leon Valley Public Library at 210-684-0720.
