This is a quick list of business scheduled for consideration before the Mayor and City Council on Tuesday evening:
- A tribute to former City Councilman Al Baldridge
- Introduction of the Interim Fire Chief Luis Valdez
- Consider action on a Resolution ordering a General Election on May 11, 2013, for the purpose of electing City Council Members in Places 1, 3, and 5
- Consider action on an Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a Master Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the purpose of obtaining future transportation-related grant funds
- Consider action on a Resolution authorizing the submission of an application for Community Development Block Grant Funds for the construction of ADA-Compliant curb ramps & sidewalks
- Consider action on an Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Crownhill Builders for the Leon Valley Public Library Children's Wing Expansion Project in an amount not to exceed $533,000 plus a $10,000 contingency
- Consider action approving an increase to the committed fund balance in the General Fund for natural/man-made disasters by $100,000
- Consider action on an Ordinance related to approving sanitary sewer rate increases for Fiscal Year 2013 by 4.75 percent effective with the April 2013 billings
- Consider action on an Ordinance establishing three committees arising from the January 26 Town Hall Meeting for branding, communications, and festivals
- The City Council will receive reports by the City Manager related to:
- Defensive space at the Natural Area
- Low Impact Development Project for Evers Road
- Receive the Financial Statement for the month of January 2013

Leon Valley City Council Meetings  Regular City Council Meetings are scheduled on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
Please note that Special City Council Meetings can be scheduled for different days and beginning times.
Official public notices and meeting agendas are posted on the City's Bulletin Boards outside the City Hall front doors at 6400 El Verde Road, at least 72 hours before the start of the meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, and are also posted on the City's website. Out and About the Neighborhood  Shop Leon Valley first-Contribute to our local economy! Shop first and buy fresh at the Leon Valley Farmer's Market. The Leon Valley Farmer's Market locates on the parking lot next to the Leon Valley Public Library on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Forest Oaks Garden Club meets at the Leon Valley Public Library on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome and invited! Northwest Senior Citizens Club of Leon Valley Hosting "Trash & Treasure Sale" on Saturday, March 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Leon Valley Community Center, 6427 Evers Road. The Northwest Senior Citizens invite you to participate. Food and baked items will be available at a nominal cost. Save these Dates:

T'ai Chi Chih is an easy to learn set of movements focused on the development of an intrinsic energy called "Chi." It does not require a particular level of physical fitness or coordination. People of all ages can learn it.
