Wear a comfortable jacket and walking shoes and join our Mayor, the Honorable Chris Riley,

to walk and talk about community concerns as well an opportunity to hear about upcoming City events.
Meet in front of the Community Garden at Raymond Rimkus Park for a walk that is about one hour in length, including a visit to the Historic Huebner-Onion Homestead.

Leon Valley City Council Meetings  Regular City Council Meetings are scheduled on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
Please note that Special City Council Meetings can be scheduled for different days and beginning times.
Official public notices and meeting agendas are posted on the City's Bulletin Boards outside the City Hall front Doors at 6400 El Verde Road, at least 72 hours before the start of the meeting in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, and are also posted on the City's website. The Leon Valley Farmer's Market locates on the parking lot next to the Leon Valley Public Library on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Forest Oaks Garden Club January 9, 2013 - "Herbs for the Body" Program presented by Yvonne Baca, Immediate Past President of the San Antonio Herb Society. February 13, 2013 - "Rain Barrels - How -To" Program presented by William Aman, "The Barrel Man." The Forest Oaks Garden Club meets at the Leon Valley Public Library on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome and invited! Help us meet our goal of becoming El Verde by 2020, plant trees now! NeighborWoods Program Information. T'ai Chi Chih: Saturday mornings at 8 a.m., join us at the Leon Valley Public Library for T'ai Chi Chih: Joy Through Movement.
T'ai Chi Chih is an easy to learn set of movements focused on the development of an intrinsic energy called "Chi." It does not require a particular level of physical fitness or coordination. People of all ages can learn it.
