City Council Meeting Re-scheduled to January 8
The City Council Meeting that would normally occur on Tuesday, January 1 has been moved to Tuesday, January 8.
Join Mayor Chris Riley on her next Walk with the Mayor, Saturday, January 5 at 8:30 a.m.
Bring your most comfortable walking shoes and join our Mayor, the Honorable Chris Riley, f or an opportunity to walk and talk about community concerns as well an opportunity to hear about City events. Meet in front of the Community Garden at Raymond Rimkus Park for a walk that is about one hour in length, including a visit to the Historic Huebner-Onion Homestead.
2013's first Town Hall Meeting is set for Saturday, January 26th. Mark the date on your calendar & plan to attend & participate. Details are forthcoming.
Earthwise Living Day Set for Saturday, February 23. See attached flyer with details below. Mark the date on your calendar!

Leon Valley City Council Meetings Regular City Council Meetings are scheduled on the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
Please note that Special City Council Meetings can be scheduled for different days and beginning times.

The Leon Valley Farmer's Market locates on the parking lot next to the Leon Valley Public Library on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. January 9, 2013 - Forest Oaks Garden Club "Herbs for the Body"  Program presented by Yvonne Baca, Immediate Past President of the San Antonio Herb Society. The Forest Oaks Garden Club meets at the Leon Valley Public Library on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. All are invited and welcome! Help us meet our goal of becoming El Verde by 2020, plant trees now! NeighborWoods Program Information. T'ai Chi Chih: Saturday mornings at 8 a.m., join us at the Leon Valley Public Library for T'ai Chi Chih: Joy Through Movement.
T'ai Chi Chih is an easy to learn set of movements focused on the development of an intrinsic energy called "Chi." It does not require a particular level of physical fitness or coordination. People of all ages can learn it.
