LVEDC Update for Week-ending November 16, 2012

The LVEDC Board of Directors welcomes Dave Gannon who was appointed in September for his first term in Place 4.  LVEDC Board President Abraham Diaz was re-appointed in September and continues his service to the LVEDC Board of Directors.

 

The Board continues its work of reviewing and refining operating policies related to grants, loans, and strategic planning. 

 

Leon Valley's business community continues to renew itself through the normal business cycles that occur in any economy.  Although, business owners will make decisions about continuing operations or closing their businesses based on a variety of factors; this also allows for businesses to come into the City of Leon Valley to establish a presence in a new market for their products and services. 

 

The newest business entry is Raising Cane's wRaising Cane's Logohich held its ribbon-cutting and grand opening hosted by the Leon Valley Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, November 8, to a huge crowd of City Officials, 

 

The City of Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) Board of Directors continues accepting applications and resumes for Place 6.

 

We invite you to Shop Leon Valley First!

Sandwiched in-between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is Small Business Saturday on November 24.

The City of Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month in the Leon Valley City Council Chambers which is located at 6400 El Verde Road, Leon Valley, 78238, at 6:30 p.m.
 
Official public notices and meeting agendas are posted on the City's Bulletin Board outside the City Hall front doors at 6400 El Verde Road, Leon Valley, 78238, at least 72 hours before the start of the meeting posted, in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.

City of Leon Valley City officials and   Leon Valley Chamber Officers attended the grand opening of the Raising Cane's in the City of Leon Valley last Thursday, November 8.  The restaurant is located at 7020 Bandera Road, Leon Valley.
