Welcome New Code Officers, Holiday Events, & Other Important Information |
|
Greetings!
The next Regular City Council Meeting is on Tuesday, December 4 at 7 p.m.
The Leon Valley Fire Department
in conjunction with the International Association of
Fire Fighters is hosting the 3rd Annual Leon Valley Food Drive for the San Antonio Food Bank. This year's goal is 10,000 pounds.
We are grateful to the children and staff of Driggers Elmentary for their contribution of several hundred pounds of food.
Please give so that others may enjoy a satisfying meal this Thanksgiving Season!
Non-perishable food items may be dropped off at the Leon Valley Fire Department or at City Hall, 6400 El Verde Road, Leon Valley, 78238, beginning October 15 and ending November 16. There is a big red container in the front City Hall Lobby area.
Meet Your New Code Officers
Welcome our new Code Officers as you meet them in the community!
For service please call:
Annette Rodriguez, Code Enforcement Officer, 684-1391, extn. 232.

Annette brings to the City of Leon Valley considerable experience from the City of San Antonio's Code Enforcement Department, including training experience.
Jonathan Diaz, Animal Control Officer, 684-1391, extn. 229
Jonathan brings to the City of Leon Valley a noteworthy background in dealing with animals. He is excited about completing his State certification shortly after Thanksgiving.
For the immediate future, both Code Officers will work the traditional City Hall hours with flexibility once their training is completed.
As the new operational mode for the new Code Officers will feature them working in the field about 99 percent of the time. They will be connected to the City's reporting systems by technology.
If you have an urgent Code or Animal Control situation, please call the non-emergency number for the Police Department Dispatch at 684-3215. Otherwise, the Code Officers will be harvesting and returning calls for service from within their respective City-logo vehicles.
We welcome Annette and Jonathan into the complement of City staff and into the Leon Valley Community to help us achieve a healthy and safe environment for all!
We appreciate your patience as we expand our services to you in new ways. As always, we invite you to Connect with Us... to obtain the most current City of Leon Vallety news and information from the City's website.
