Dear Friends of BBLA,

With the Thanksgiving festivities behind us and the calories intake needle settling near normal, we are back to our daily routine. For the BBLA team that means wrapping up another successful collaboration with the American Art Fair group and stepping up the preparations for the end-of-year holidays.

In a couple of days several BBLA trustees will meet with our counterparts from the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as it is customary twice a year, for a round of discussions about the Bohemian National Hall. During these get-togethers we review activities taking place at the building, deal with any shortcomings and make decisions on how to better organize future events. We also deal with building maintenance issues and plan for future repairs.

I hope you will have a chance to attend some of our December events. Wishing you all very happy holidays.

Thank you for your support,
 JosephBalaz

Challenging practices like these seem to be fading away in contemporary visual culture. Nevertheless, many artists still embrace the printmaking process; some of them even indulge in the exploration of the physical state of the printmaking plate.
