Meet our Member: Cayman Automotive
2016 marks the 10th year in which Cayman Automotive Leasing, Sales & Marketing has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
And whilst this might appear a milestone in itself, the automotive company are about to make history with the opening of a brand new service centre specifically for electric vehicles, and by introducing the first electric vehicle in Cuba.
Cayman Automotive, who are keen advocates for reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment with their 'Go Green' messaging, have been an active member since they joined back in 2006.
At the end of 2015 they hosted their own Business After Hours event which saw a tremendous turnout. The size of the crowd was even more impressive considering that the event took place during the annual Pirates Week.
The Chamber of Commerce is proud to call Cayman Automotive a member, and wishes to congratulate them on their historic announcements. It is excellent to see local businesses develop and thrive to such a great extent.
We spoke to Founder and CEO, John Felder and Executive Sales Manager, Mike Gaskins about the business.

Chamber of Commerce Hosts First 'Wine After Hours'
The Chamber of Commerce hosted its inaugural 'Wine After Hours' on Thursday 14th June.
The new series of events runs in partnership with Wine School 3, who provide attendees with a collection of fine wines for tasting, as well as some excellently chosen food pairings.
An intimate gathering of invited business owners and managing directors arrived at the Governors Square offices to partake in the evening, with Chamber President Paul Pearson and Secretary Colin Reid also in attendance.
Christian Esser, sommelier and co-owner of Wine School 3, found the evening to be a success. He stated: "It was a great wine tasting last night with some amazing wine challenges. Thank you to the Chamber for introducing us to other local businesses. With this great networking tool the Chamber offers we could gain more offers for bookings."

Chamber Delivers Immigration Focus Group Findings to Caucus
In June the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce conducted three focus groups over a three-day period which focused on the topic of immigration in Cayman.
The Chamber of Commerce advocates for local business and community members, and immigration was the desire of focus from a cross-section of our membership according to our Prioritisation Survey.
A fair and reflective cross-section of businesses throughout Cayman were randomly selected, ranging from retailers to hospitality companies, and from small enterprises to global brands.
The sessions, which lasted one-hour-and-a-half each, saw representatives from selected companies engage in a question-and-answer session with Chamber Vice-President Paul Byles.
The answers provided were then collected by Chamber CEO, Wil Pineau, CCE, and Communications Assistant, Ross Taylor.
