Our next workshop is on Thursday 26th May 2016, at the Chamber Visitors Centre at 5:30pm. The session will focus on 'Identifying Occupational Fraud Risk and Fraud Prevention Controls.'

CUC Business After Hours an electrifying evening

The 50th anniversary celebration of Caribbean Utilities Company (CUC) was a tremendous success during the Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours.

150 people arrived for the occasion which took place in the centre of the Caribbean Plaza parking lot, under a gazebo decorated with the yellow-and-green colours of CUC.

Chamber President Paul Pearson and CEO Wil Pineau delivered brief remarks congratulating CUC on their triumphant achievement, heralding their successes and development, as well as offering them praise for their fantastic efforts during the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan back in 2004.

Leadership Cayman Class visit Sister Islands

The Leadership Cayman Class of 2016 recently took the annual trip to the Sister Islands. The two-day visit provides insight and perspective on how the Islands function and perform on a day-to-day basis.

The Sister Islands visit was mentored by Chevala Burke and Rob Tate, and was moderated by Melissa Lim and Oneisha Richards.

The Leadership Cayman Class members had a packed itinerary for the two days, planning to tour a number of institutions and organisations during that time. On arrival to Cayman Brac, the Class were given a tour of the Charles Kirkconnell International Airport, before dropping their belongings off at the Brac Reef Beach Resort where they would be staying.

International Conferences

The Chamber Membership is comprised of a variety of different business types. From legal firms to restaurants, we have a very diverse directory and we are aware that these organisations and their owners will have differing interests.

Taking this into consideration, the Chamber has decided to introduce a new recurring section to our Newsletter focusing on international conferences which may be of interest to our members. We will be providing our newsletter recipients with the general information about each conference, as well as the links to the host's website.
