Minimum Wage - it's the law! 

All members are now required to be paying a minimum wage of CI$6.00 per hour to every person who is employed.

Comments on Consumer Protection discussion draft due by April

Members are urged to review a discussion paper entitled "Consumer Protection: Entrenching Consumer Supremacy in Cayman Islands Legislation".

Drafted by the Cayman Islands Law Reform Commission, the paper examines several issues and proposals made in relation to the introduction of consumer protection legislation.

Public meeting scheduled to discuss new Trade & Business Licensing Law

Members are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the new Trade and Business Licensing Law on Thursday, 31 March from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Town Hall in George Town.

The session will focus on health and pension requirements. Representatives from the Department of Commerce and Investment, Health Commission and Pensions Office will be present to answer questions.

Three year plan to be unveiled in April

The Council and Staff recently participated in a two day retreat at the Wyndham Reef Resort in East End to develop a three year strategic plan and plan of action for the year.
Earth Day Clean-Up Volunteers needed! 
Representatives from Earth Day Sponsors BritCay, Ogier, FLOW and Cayman National with Chamber CEO, Wil Pineau, CCE

The Chamber is currently recruiting volunteer teams and sponsors for the annual Earth Day Clean-Up 2016.

This year the event will be held on Saturday, April 16, 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. for clean-up with refreshments at 10 a.m.

The first 1,000 volunteers will receive an official Earth Day T-Shirt, Cap, water bottle and reusable shopping bag, latex gloves and garbage bags.


Owners learn to enhance their small business value

The Enhancing the Value of Micro and Small Businesses workshop on Thursday, 25th February was facilitated by James Andrews, Managing Director of Integra Realty Resources. 

The Workshop provided small business owners with some helpful information on Litigation, Succession planning, importance of solid financial statements, how businesses are valued and how to enhance the value of a business.
