President Barry Bodden and the Chamber Council cordially invite members in good standing to attend the Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Centre, Governors Square from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
 
The President will provide the membership with a report on the policy and advocacy
activities and the many accomplishments in 2015, present Chamber Champion awards and hold the election of officers for the 2016 Council. 
 
Treasurer Wayne Cowan will table the 2014 audited financial statements that have been prepared by Honourary Auditor EisnerAmper (Cayman) Ltd. He will also provide an update on the Chamber's financial position for 2015.
 
Incoming President Paul Pearson will also deliver his acceptance address. 
    
There is no charge to attend and all corporate members in good standing (paid-up dues) are eligible to vote in the election. All voting shall be by ballot.   Only one appointed representative from each corporate member will be permitted to vote. No votes will be given by proxy.   
 
Members may also pay their annual membership investment at the meeting and collect their 2016 desktop calendars.  If you would like to receive a copy of your invoice prior to the meeting please email kerry.pratt@caymanchamber.ky.

Vice President

Mr. Paul Byles
CEO and Director of First Regents Bank & Trust 

First Regents Bank & Trust provides private banking, investment advisory and consulting services. Mr. Byles is an experienced economist and finance  professional having worked in the financial services industry for 22 years. He is a former director of a big four consulting firm and a former Head of Policy at the Cayman Islands Monetary  Authority. He is author of the book 'Inside Offshore' which focuses on the reputation of the Cayman Islands as a financial services jurisdiction and author of an introductory textbook on offshore financial services in the BVI. He serves as a director on a number of financial services and local operating firms. 
 
He holds Master's Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics, and Birkbeck College in the UK as well as a Bachelor's Degree from ace University in New York.

Mr. Wayne Cowan
Director & Vice Chairman, Strategic Risk Solutions Ltd.

Mr. Cowan is a Director and Vice Chairman of Strategic Risk Solutions. He is responsible for new business development and relationship management for clients domiciled in the Cayman Islands. He is also co-head of the firm's Healthcare industry practice. Wayne was the former Managing Director of JLT Cayman. Prior to leading JLT's Cayman operations, Wayne was the Managing Director of Johnson and Higgins and Marsh's operations in Cayman managing in excess of 145 captive insurance companies. 

Wayne has over 24 years of experience in the captive insurance industry. He has served as a former member of the executive committees of both the Cayman Island Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA) and the Cayman Insurance Managers Association.

Mr. Gregg Anderson
Founder and Managing Principal, VisionQuest Management Services Ltd.
 
Mr. Gregg Anderson is the founder and Managing Director of VisionQuest Management Services Ltd, an independent consultancy working with organisations on strategy, compliance and regulatory services. His 32-year career includes various strategy, operations, sales & marketing, regulatory compliance, and risk management roles in the telecoms and financial industries.
 
Gregg is a regular public speaker, business writer, and serves on several profit and not-for profit Boards.  He completed his undergraduate honours degree at The Anglia Ruskin University, UK, earned an MBA from Queens University, School of Business, Canada, and is a Certified Management Consultant and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. He also holds the Canadian Securities Certificate (CSC) from the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI).
 
Gregg is a member of the IEEE & IET, the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), and the American Writers and Artists Institute (AWAI).

Ms. Roz Griffiths
Manager/Senior Speech and Language Therapist, Chatterbox

Ms. Griffiths moved to the Cayman Islands in 1999 to take up a position as a speech and language therapist with the Education Department, working at the Lighthouse School, Early Intervention Programme and Sunrise.
 
In October 2010 she opened Chatterbox Ltd., and has been able to develop a holistic approach to working with children and their families and been able to closely tailor therapy and educational programmes to the needs of each child. Chatterbox has grown to include a Playschool for children with learning and communication difficulties, Pivotal Response Therapy, Early Childhood Tutoring, a Handwriting Programme and Family Support and Social Work.
 
Roz has been on the Board of Directors of the Special Needs Foundation of Cayman for
four years and is passionate about helping children and adults with special needs. She
also volunteers for the C.A.R.E. animal rescue programme, helping to educate children
about how to treat and care for animals and helps out at the Humane Society by walking
their dogs.

Ms. Victoria Hew
Human Resources Director, Walkers Cayman 

Victoria Hew is currently the HR Director for Walkers Cayman.  She started her working career as an educator with the Cayman Islands Government and then moved from education into the Ministry of Community Development, Sports, Youth Affairs and Culture.  

Still trying to figure out her career path she moved to Cayman National Bank where she spent 2 years as their Training Manager before moving to Walkers. She has been with Walkers for the past 16 years first as a HR Manager then promoted to HR Director. At Walkers Victoria manages the Human Resources Business Partner Team as well as working with the Global HR Director on key HR projects.  She also developed,  implemented and oversees the Walkers Wellness Programme.  

Victoria has a Bachelors in Special Education and a Masters in Human Resources. When not working Victoria enjoys spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also loves cooking, yoga, volunteer work and non-competitive sporting activities. She is a graduate of the Chamber's Leadership Cayman programme in 2014.

Mr. James O'Brien
Director of Residences, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman 

James O'Brien, originally from Ireland, graduated from the Shannon College of Hotel Management, Ireland in 1996. He also attended Cornell University in Ithaca NY USA. He has held numerous management positions in the Hospitality industry namely in Food & Beverage, Sales& Marketing and Rooms Division with Hotels in Switzerland and various Hotel Groups in the UK & Ireland. He general managed Hotels & Resorts in Ireland from 2001-2008 before his move to Grand Cayman.
 
James joined The Ritz-Carlton as the Operations manager of the Rooms division. In November 2010, James was promoted to the position of Director of Residences at the Resort and also joined the Executive Management team of the entire resort.
 
He is actively involved in the Resorts community footprints program and has been a reading buddy since September 2008 where he reads with kids on a weekly basis at Sir John A Cumber School in West Bay. He has been an active member of the Chamber Mentoring program and has mentored three students over the last three years to successful college applications.
 
James is also a graduate of Leadership Cayman 2015, where he learned to understand the Chamber organization in Cayman thoroughly & enjoyed his interactions with Chamber management & members alike.
