Dear Teachers,

Happy October! Wow, the 2012-13 school year is less than two months old and it's already speeding by! It's time to officially begin another year of Reading Is Cool Presented by Comerica Bank, so please read below for three very important announcements:

(1) Starting Monday, October 1, your students should begin tracking and recording their pages read in their monthly Reading Is Cool reading logs. If you have not already done so, please download and print the reading logs HERE.

(2) Your October reading totals and first "Top Reader of the Month" are due on Wednesday, November 7. Your accounts will be set up with the username and password you provided at registration one week before this date. You will not be able to access your account before that time.

(3) Reading Is Cool collateral materials will be shipped this month. Please note that with over 1,000 classrooms registered for Reading Is Cool this school year, packages will be mailed in waves throughout October. If you do not receive your package in the first week of the month or on the same day as your co-workers, do not panic! However, if your materials are not delivered by November 1, please email the Reading Is Cool team to ensure that you correctly entered your information when registering.
Implementing Reading Is Cool into your Classroom

Reading Is Cool is structured to fit into your standard classroom curriculum. We fully support teachers utilizing the program in the most beneficial way for themselves and their students. With that said, there are a few tips we offer teachers each year. These instructions will be sent with your collateral materials. However, if you wish to review the information before then, please click here.
  S.J. Sharkie's  Inaugural "Kickoff Visits"
