Greetings!
Last Sunday, despite heavy wind and rain St. Cyprian's and our neighborhood allies gathered together to share the story of Jesus' birth. Everyone who wanted to wear a costume, young or old, got one and each were given a role to play in the adventure. (You can see more photos of the pageant taken by our friend David Singer by clicking here.) While the Pageant is a special event in our life at Turk & Lyon, that participatory spirit is present everyday in our shared work of renewing a church, developing an arts center, and building a community kitchen. We rely on people like you, doing your part. So if you care about what's happening at St. Cyprian's and Cyprian's ARC, and you haven't yet, please fill out an online pledge card or mail in your pledge card right now. For some, giving to St. Cyprian's is and has always been a spiritual practice and they have embraced that by giving at least 10 percent of their income to the church. Others are doing proportional giving. We have provided the chart below as an illustration. |
