A Great Day to Run!

The sun shone brightly on the runners, walkers, bikers, dog walkers and hula hoopers at this year's VNA Vermont Respite House 5K Fun Run & Jiggety Jog on Saturday, May 9, at Allen Brook School in Williston.

Thanks to our many participants, and with the generous support of our sponsors, we have raised $54,000 to date for Vermont's only hospice home.

We are only $1,000 away from our goal and there's still time to make a donation to support Vermont Respite House! If you are interested in helping, contact Ellen Kane at 860-4475 or visit:

Every dollar raised at our event allows Respite House to continue to care for residents who receive hospice care at the House, but are unable to pay full fee for room and board. Last year, the Respite House served 214 people with terminal illness, providing them a home-away-from-home to live out their remaining days in dignity, surrounded by family and friends.

A special thanks, again, to our sponsors: R.E.M. Development Company, LLC, Vermont Creamery, Coca Cola Bottling of Northern New England, Downs Rachlin & Martin, Hackett Valine & MacDonald, SecurShred, Sterling Construction, Inc., Union Mutual of Vermont, Birchwood North Building Services, New England Air Systems, Inc., Snyder Homes, Willie Racine's, Inc., VT Systems Inc., Hannaford Williston, WCAX and FreePress Media.
