2014 Clergy Assessments

Dear Friends,

The 2014 Clergy Assessments are now online and ready to be completed.  The tools have been simplified and focus on how you are leading the congregation(s) you serve in fulfilling the biblical mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ and thereby transforming lives and communities.

Both clergy and S/PPRCs are participants in the process.  The following chart will be helpful in order for you to know the tools which you and the S/PPRC are asked to complete:  Process ChartPlease note that the most important part of the Assessment Process is the discussion between the Clergy and S/PPRC (and Senior Pastor, if applicable.)  The other tools are meant to be a springboard to jump start that discussion.

To access the assessments, clergy and S/PPRC chairs will log into the www.wnccadmin.org website,

  • Click on the CLERGY tab

  • Select the Clergy to be assessed in the green box (Click on "View their clergy Info.")

  • Click on the Assessment tab

There you will find the form(s) for which you are responsible.  (If your S/PPRC chair needs a username and/or password, please call the district office.)

Answers to anticipated "Frequently Asked Questions":

  • If a pastor has just begun serving in the appointment, he/she and the church should focus on the Mission of the Church and Goals sections of the assessments.

  • All  clergy (elders, provisional elders, deacons, provisional deacons, associate members, and local pastors) serving a local church are to complete the assessments.

  • Deacons and provisional deacons who are serving in an Extension Ministry/ABLC do not have to complete the self-assessment as it is assumed that they will be assessed/evaluated in their primary place of employment/service.  At the same time, they are asked to complete the Discussion Guide for Deacons in a Secondary Appointment with the Senior Pastor and SPRC of the church where their secondary appointment is held.

  • Each local church is to complete the assessment with the pastor.

We have prepared an instructional video which we encourage you to use with your entire S/PPRC to learn about the assessment process:  Video

We have also prepared written instructions which will guide you through the process:  Assessment Instructions

All forms (including the discussion guide) are to be completed online by September 30.

Pastors:  Please make sure that your S/PPRC knows the above information and assist them in accessing the online forms if needed.

There are also PDFs of all the forms under the Documents section on the www.wnccadmin.org website if you want to print copies of any form.  (However, these forms must be completed online!)

If you have questions or difficulties, please contact us.
