Each week, our teachers nominate a Student of the Week for each grade level who are consistently "Doing the Right Thing"

academically and behaviorally. Last week's BMS Students of the Week are:

Lucy Longhurst, Grade 6

Prerna Mukherjee, Grade 7

Eli Goldman, Grade 8

There is no late start on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Students will be testing on the following days listed below. Please note that testing sessions last only 60-90 minutes per day. Please make sure students are on time to school for all testing days.

Earbuds: Students in the 6th and 7th grades will need earbuds for all three ELA testing sessions. English teachers in the 6th and 7th grades will collect earbuds in advance of the test on Friday, Feb. 20. The earbuds will stored in a zip-lock bag with the students name on the bag. The earbuds will be distributed and collected after each ELA test. This will ensure students have the earbuds the day of the test.

Charging Laptops: Please make sure your 7th and 8th graders' laptops are fully charged the evening before tests. Charging stations will be available during tests. However, reminding your child to charge the laptop the night before will help testing run more smoothly.

PTO needs volunteers for the 2015 Beachwood PTO Garage Sale. Your effort makes a big difference for our schools. Please also start saving those wonderful items for donation! Please mark your calendars for Donation Days on April 12, 19, and 26, and Sale Days on April 30th through May 3rd. Corporate and retail donations, as well as estate items, are welcome and are 100-percent tax-deductible. Please e-mail for more information or to volunteer. Please consider volunteering for a shift. We need help for donation drop off, sorting (week of April 20th), and the days of the sale. We need many volunteers to make this fundraiser a success!
