Sowing the Imperishable Seed by Mike Gendron
The only hope for those who are spiritually dead is to be born again through the imperishable seed which is the living and abiding Word of God (1 Pet. 1:23). The Word of truth is what God uses to bring forth life to those who are dead in their sins (James 1:18). Knowing this, every child of God should be encouraged and exhorted to sow the seed of God's Word where ever we go. He will be glorified as we sing the praises of the One who called us out of darkness into His glorious light (1 Pet. 2:9). Our Father also receives glory when we bear much fruit and prove to be the Lord's disciples (John 15:8). The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully (2 Cor. 9:6). One of the best ways to sow bountifully is to share the greatest news anyone could ever hear in the form of Gospel tracts.
Our ministry's most popular and effective Gospel tract is entitled: The Greatest News Ever Told about the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived Who Offers the Greatest Gift Ever Given. This tract is unique in that it contains only the Word of God, which is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. It pierces and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb. 4:12). The tract gives a clear and complete presentation of the Gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe it (Rom. 1:16). It is divided into 6 categories: God's Perfection, Man's Problem, God's Provision, Man's Part, God's Promise, Man's Privilege. The tract closes with the exhortation: How will you escape if you neglect so great a salvation? Now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Not only is this an excellent outline to follow as you share the Gospel, it also provides all the Scriptures you need to share the Gospel accurately, authoritatively and with divine power.
Since this tract speaks of the greatest gift anyone could ever receive, most people will gladly take it when it is offered to them. Then they will discover God's gift of eternal life is given freely by His grace. Almost everyone we encounter, throughout each day, is offered one of these tracts. It is a wonderful way to glorify our Great God and Savior and show people how they can be forgiven and be reconciled to their Creator. May we encourage you to scatter the seed of God's word in your circle of influence! The Lord Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how" (Mark 4:26-27). After the seed of the Gospel is sown in fertile soil, God gives the increase (1 Cor. 3:6). We know that not all seed will find fertile soil. Some is snatched away by the devil before it takes root. Other seed may be received by people with joy, but after a time of testing, they fall away. Some seed falls among the thorns and is choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life. Knowing this, we pray to the Lord of the harvest, that the Gospel seeds we sow will find fertile soil and open hearts. It is our prayer, and hopefully yours as well, that churches would take our Lord's Great Commission seriously and make Gospel tracts available to their congregations. On the back of The Greatest News tract, we have provided a space for churches to put their name, address, phone number and web site. This will give people, who respond to the Gospel, an opportunity to visit a local church and become disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us all bring glory to our Savior and give hope to those who are lost in sin! You can order a supply of these tracts for you and your church at greatly reduced prices by calling 972-495-0485 or our web site.

God's Sovereignty in Evangelism
Have you ever considered the nature of the people we are trying to reach with the Gospel? Jesse Barrington, pastor of Grace Life Church of Dallas, gave a biblical description of them in a recent message. It is no wonder the apostles asked Jesus, "Who then can be saved?" Only God can grant spiritual life to those who are dead in their sins. In a moment He brings them to life, transforms their hearts and grants them repentance and faith. This wonderful message of God's sovereign grace will give you great hope and encouragement as you proclaim the Gospel.

Pope Canonizes 800 Beheaded by Muslims
Pope Francis canonized hundreds of 15th-century martyrs who were beheaded for refusing to convert to Islam. His first canonization ceremony took place in a packed St. Peter's Square. The 'Martyrs of Otranto' were 813 Italians who were slain in the southern Italian city in 1480 for defying demands to renounce Catholicism. The Vatican seemed at pains to allow the pope's first canonizations to be interpreted as anti-Islamic. Shortly after his election in March, Francis called for more dialogue with Muslims but it is unclear how the granting of sainthood to the martyrs will be received. Read more.
Mike's Comment: I wonder what the pope thinks of the Christian martyrs who were murdered by the Catholic Church because they refused to bow their knee to the pope and denounce "salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone?" These saints of God were butchered, beheaded or burned at the stake by orders from the Vatican. It is estimated by credible historians that more than 50,000,000, men and women were slaughtered for the unjust crime of heresy charged against them by Papal Rome. The severe torture of Christians that took place under Papal authority during the 605 years of the Inquisition is documented in this video.

Letters from Around the World

Dear Mr. Gendron, I wanted to thank you for exposing the falsehood of Marian apparitions. I am a former Catholic and now a born-again Christian. It breaks my heart to see people making fools of themselves at these Catholic shrines, moving towards them on their knees, clutching their rosary beads. Some are in wheelchairs hoping against hope that Mary will hear their prayers and heal their bodies. My late twin sister was a very staunch Roman Catholic. She was a great devotee of the "catholic Mary." When we cleaned out her apartment after her death, we found handfuls of rosary beads and many books on the "catholic Mary." She was a very depressed and sad person. After all the years of rosaries and RC rituals, there was little joy in her life. I did attempt to witness to her but all we did was argue in the end. Please don't stop telling Catholics to read their Bibles and find the truth that will set them free. Patricia, Internet
I am wondering if you could change the name of your webpage to "Bashing Catholicism." Make sure you put the disclaimer that it is based solely on the interpretation of Scripture you hold to, which in turn influences what you want to read into the texts of the Catholic Catechism. Cherry-picking Catholic texts and bashing them with "proof-texts" from the Holy Scriptures is not scholarship. It is, in fact, misinformation. Catholics believe the Scriptures, that we are saved by grace, through faith. Jeremiah, Internet
Jeremiah, If Catholicism taught salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to Scripture alone, there would be no need for this ministry. Our love for Christ and Catholics compels us to speak the truth in love to victims of deception. Warning people who are on the wide road to destruction is not "bashing" them. People who are deceived do not know it until they are confronted with the truth from God's Word.

Pray the Rosary to Mary, the Mother of Life
Archbishop José Gomez of Los Angeles said that by praying the rosary, "we're repeating little words of love for our Mother." He told a group of 2000 young people, "This is what Jesus wanted for us. He wanted his Mother to be our Mother." He said, "We need to learn from our Mother Mary what it means to be a child of God." Archbishop Gomez exhorted the youths attending to pray the rosary and to "stay close to Mary." The coming of spring with the new birth of flowers reminds us that Mary is the Mother of Life. Mary Alone Can Give Us Life?
Pope Francis asked the Virgin Mary to "grant us the health that She alone can give us, to be always signs and instruments of life." His message was given when he officially took possession of the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome, which is the oldest Marian Shrine in the West. He said, "Mary is mother, and a mother concerns herself above all with the health of her children, she knows how to care for it with great and tender love...our Lady protects our health." Read more.

Two Popes Seek Ecumenical Unity
Pope Francis met with the leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Pope Tawadros II, who heads the largest Christian Church in the Middle East. Tawadros invited the [alleged] successor of St Peter to visit his Church, founded by St Mark the Evangelist around the middle of the 1st century. Pope Francis said, "Today's visit strengthens the bonds of friendship and brotherhood that already exist between the See of Peter and the See of Mark, heir to an inestimable heritage of martyrs, theologians, holy monks and faithful disciples of Christ, who have borne witness to the Gospel from generation to generation." He said, "We are glad to recognize that we are united by one Baptism...and we long for the day when, in fulfillment of the Lord's desire, we will be able to communicate from the one chalice." Pope Says Atheists Redeemed by Jesus
Pope Francis told the story of a Catholic who asked a priest if even atheists had been redeemed by Jesus. "Even them, everyone," the pope answered, according to Vatican Radio. Atheists should be seen as good people if they do good, Pope Francis has said in his latest urging that people of all religions work together for the sake of unity. Francis's reaching out to atheists and people who belong to no religion is in marked contrast to the attitude of his predecessor, Benedict, who sometimes prompted complaints from non-Catholics that he seemed to see them as second-class believers. Read more.
Jason's Comment: Francis
reveals his unregenerate mind and heart, and of course, his unfamiliarity with Scripture when he claims that atheists simply need to do good to be united with Christians. Good works make no one right before God (Galatians 2:16) and believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers for righteousness has no fellowship with lawlessness against Christ (2 Cor. 6:14). The only truth that can be taken away from Francis' homily is that indeed Roman Catholics do have unity with Atheists for both have rejected Christ. Catholics, who are denying the sufficiency (Hebrews 10:12, 14; 1 John 1:9), supremacy (Romans 4:5, 1 Timothy 2:5), and security of Christ (Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 8:1) are united with Atheists in their unbelief. The Pope and the Devil
Pope Francis' fascination with the devil took on remarkable new twists, with a well-known exorcist insisting Francis helped "liberate" a Mexican man possessed by four different demons despite the Vatican's insistence that no such papal exorcism took place. The pope has mentioned the devil on a handful of occasions. On one occasion, he spoke of the need for dialogue - except with Satan. He warned, "With the prince of this world you can't have dialogue: Let this be clear!" In his very first homily as pope, he warned the cardinals who were gathered in the Sistine Chapel that "he who doesn't pray to the Lord prays to the devil." Read more.
Mike's Comment: The pope created a serious contradiction by proclaiming, "he who doesn't pray to the Lord prays to the devil" because on his second day in office, he prayed to Mary for the protection of Rome. Either he was praying to Mary as his Lord or, by his own words, he was praying to the devil. Regarding the pope's reported exorcism, he should consider the words of Jesus: "Many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not...cast out demons in your name'...and I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness'" (Mat 7:22-23).
