Governor Jay Nixon and County Executive Charlie Dooley joined representatives of Wexford Science + Technology, BRDG Park, Danforth Plant Science Center, St. Louis Regional Chamber, St. Louis Economic Partnership, Missouri Partnership, World Trade Center and a crowd of more than 150 St. Louis civic and community leaders to welcome KWS to St. Louis. The leading agriculture company with products in 70 countries, announced it has selected BRDG Park to open its Gateway Research Center.

Agtech Advances Opportunities for Entrepreneurs

According to a new white paper released by the Kauffman Foundation and Danforth Center, sustainable agriculture technology is critical to increase agriculture productivity in environmental constraints and challenges.   
 
"AgTech: Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Growth" explores the pressures facing the global agriculture system and identifies the enormous opportunity for innovation and investment in this growing economic sector.   
 
The paper highlights the need for increased investment in new AgTech ventures - and, using it as an example, identifies the U.S. heartland as an ideal hub for this entrepreneurial activity.
